Kara is a full-time photographer from Washington, Illinois who specializes in weddings.  Currently in her 8th year in business, Kara manages #teamkkp- a team of associate photographers and editors who spent 2016 shooting over 70 weddings a year in Illinois, surrounding states, and internationally.  Kara also has partnered with her local park district to teach photography courses to novice photographers in the surrounding area, as well as workshops for professional photographers.  Kara is passionate about vendor relationships and leads the Peoria Chapter of the Rising Tide Society.   Kara and her hot-farmer-husband Chris have been married for 14 years and have two kiddos- Sophie, an 11-year-old diva who teaches Kara everything she knows about Instagram...and Luke, a 9-year-old superstar who is way smarter than Kara.  In her 'free' time- Kara is a basketball coach and a volunteer in low-income school classrooms.  Kara is obsessed with the FBI and plans to go undercover as a photographer in a cult one day (a job she absolutely made up on her own).
